Sarah Palin Newsweek Cover Called Unfair
The Newsweek cover of Sarah Palin has been called “unfair” because the magazine touched-up the cover shot of Barak Obama to such an extraordinary level that he looked like he had a halo over his head, while Sarah Palin's cover shot was an extreme close up with no touch up work whatsoever.
Indeed, the photograph that Newsweek used of Sarah Palin for the cover is a severe close up and was completely untouched. Conservatives cried “foul” and they are angry about the photograph that was used for the cover. Others called it a gross slap in the face. The biggest reason, according to Andrea on Fox News, is because of the title that describes Mrs. Palin, “She is one of the folks (and that’s the problem).”
What is wrong with being “one of the folks”? Newsweek has made the mistake of portraying themselves as an elitist liberal publication.
Newsweek said the close-up of Sarah Palin was used “so that the readers could look closely into her eyes.”
Many people complained after seeing the magazine cover with Sarah Palin, and protesters said they were so enraged about the double-standard that they were going to cancel their Newsweek subscription.
